Our Thanks to Outgoing Board Member Dave Malson

As 2025 came to an end, so did the term of RCCF board member, Dave Malson. During his six years, he provided insights through both a legal lens and as a champion of the community, with excellent questions and his trademark sense of humor. Chris captured it perfectly in this poem he read.

Dave shared his thoughts on his time with RCCF. “When I was asked if I wanted to join the board, I was very honored. I knew it was an interesting and worthwhile project. I did not know how involved it really is and my hat is off to all the board members who work very hard to make this a successful foundation. And Chris, even though I’ve given him a hard time, has done a wonderful job and so have Angie and Lisa, who’ve watched over him.”

He continued, “I thought back to when I got out of college. I was waiting to go into the Air Force. I told my folks and my family – ‘I’m not going to come back to Rushville, I want to go to a big city, Indianapolis, to law school.’ I went to law school, but I changed my mind and came back. And I have no regrets. It’s a wonderful place. Thank you!

We’re grateful to Dave for his expertise and service and to Barb for sharing his time with us! Motion to adjourn.
